The young aren't the Church's future--they're the present

About this Episode

There's a lot talk about studies showing a rapid rise in the number of religiously non-affiliated young people -- the "nones" for short. But Archbishop Lucas recently attended two events which clearly demonstrate the zeal and faithfulness of large numbers of teenagers and young adults. He had the privilege of accompanying groups from our archdiocese at both the 2018 FOCUS Student Leadership Summit in Chicago--a conference which aims to train college students to evangelize their peers--and the 2018 March for Life in Washington, D.C.

"We sometimes make the mistake of saying that younger Catholics are the 'future of the Church,' but anybody who is baptized is very much a part of the Church now. The Church depends on every baptized person, no matter their age."
